Ndamukong Suh began his playing career with his high school team. He went to Grant High School, where he played as a two-way lineman. He managed to earn All PIL honor for his Offensive play, as well as defensive. As a senior, he managed to record 65 tackles, with 10 sacks and four recovered fumbles. He won all-American honors from Parade Magazine. As a four-star recruit, he joined the University of Nebraska, in 2005. He missed most of his freshman season after undergoing knee surgery.
