When listing the best affordable MPVs to buy, the 2021 Toyota Avanza cannot be ignored. The first impression created the exterior design is of a luxurious MPV. Comparing with the likes of Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Innova and Suzuki Ertiga, the Avanza takes the lead.

From the front, the new streamlined large grille and the LED headlights adorn this Avanza model a youthful and new modern look. Its huge body is held up high by the 14-inch aluminum wheels, which offers more stability and high ground clearance. Turning to the engine specifications, there is no much to be proud of as the new Avanza still retains the old engine version. The refined and economical 1.5-litre engine utilizing the Variable Valve Timing (VVT-i) system powers a torque of 136Nm and 102 horsepower. Mated to this engine is a 5-speed automatic transmission system.

Does this MPV promise peace of mind if all the safety systems are collectively functional?
