JEE Main Cut-Off (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016) – Category-Wise (Gen/OBC/SC/ST). JEE Main Cut-Off, along with the result and rank for paper-1 (Engineering), will be released after session 4. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the main conducting authority of the JEE Main 2021 examination. This exam will be conducted for those aspirants seeking admission to top engineering institutions in the country. Candidates will be admitted to B.Tech and B.Arch courses through JEE Main. On the basis of cut-off marks, students will get admission in various government and private institutions. This article provides details regarding JEE Main Cut-Off 2021, including last year’s cut-off marks, results, counseling, rank list, etc.

JEE Main Cut-Off 2021

The CBSE Board will release the cut-off through online mode only- the official website. The cut-off is the minimum marks required to appear in the JEE Advanced exam. Cut-off marks are different for different categories. JEE Main Cut-off marks depend upon several factors such as exam difficulty level and several students who appeared in the examination.

Candidate who score marks more than the JEE Main cut-off marks will be considered qualified in JEE Main 2021. Only qualified candidates will be eligible for admission.

JEE Main 2021 Answer Keys for session three was released from 29th July to 31st July 2021. The Answer Key is available through an online process only. Candidates can check the answer key along with the images of response sheets (OMR sheets).

JEE Main Qualifying Marks

JEE Main Result 2021

JEE Main 2021 Result was declared on 6th August 2021 for paper one and will be released in September 2021 for paper 2, followed by the official Cut-Off rank (AIR and category-wise). Candidates those will appear JEE Main 2021 examination, can check their result. Aspirants can get their actual score and results online by entering their login credentials with the official site.

To check results, Candidates would have to visit the official link of JEE Main result and enter their roll number and date of birth in the specified space. After pressing the submit button, they would get their result. One should retain minimum 2-3 copies of his/her result for further use in admission procedure.

JEE Main Counselling 2021

After releasing the result, the rank list will be released in the second week of September 2021. Based on this rank list, the counseling procedure will be started. JEE Main 2021 Counselling will be scheduled after the releasing of JEE Advanced AIR and JEE rank list. The counselling procedure will be started from September 2021. The Counselling will comprise in some simple steps like:

  • Registration
  • Choice Filling and Locking
  • Seat Acceptance
  • Pay Fee
  • Document Verification (Personal at allotted college)

Admission Process

Admission process will be conducted offline at the institute where the candidates are allotted the seat. Candidates have to take the seat allotment letter (given by the counselling authority) to the allotted college. Document verification and admission fee payment will be done in assigned institution premises. Candidates have to pay their admission and course fee. After document check and remitting fee, candidates may get their admission ticket/letter to continue their classes.

JEE Main 2021 Rank List

After the result is declared, the authority will release the All India Rank (AIR) and category rank on the same date. The counseling authorities will consider the AIRs for admissions in NITs, IIITs and other government and private institutions. Based on the JEE Main exam marks, a merit list will be prepared for admission in engineering and architecture courses. The merit list will be drawn separately for each category.
